The Administrative Director will work with the Director and Associate Director of the Hayek Program, the Director of Graduate Student Programs, and will report to the Director of Academic Relations.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
? Providing administrative support for Hayek Program core faculty with priority to Peter Boettke and Chris Coyne;
? Collaborating with other Mercatus programs and Mercatus management, including responsibility for strategic measurement, quarterly results reporting, and facilitating information for grant proposals and reporting with the Mercatus fundraising team;
? Managing the editorial duties of the core faculty regarding academic journals and book series for which they are responsible;
? Coordinating complex faculty and student research, including domestic and international field studies, surveys, and human subject review board compliance, and finances;
? Arranging placement activities for graduating students who are supervised by Hayek Program core faculty (letters of recommendation, interview preparation, etc);
? Driving the growth of a flagship Mercatus program with an ambitious vision and tremendous potential.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
? Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college or university.
? 5+ years? experience working in a professional staff support and/or program administration role (additional education may be considered in lieu of experience).
? Demonstrated ability to multitask and balance multiple short- and long- term projects without direct supervision.
? Excellent writing and editing skills.
